​Louisville Showing Up for Racial Justice (LSURJ) is part of a national network of individuals and groups working to undermine white supremacy and work toward racial justice.

Through community organizing, mobilizing, and education, LSURJ moves white people to act as part of a multi-racial majority for justice.

The battle is and always has been a battle for the hearts and minds of white people in this country. The fight against racism is our issue. It’s not something that we’re called on to help people of color with. We need to become involved with it as if our lives depended on it because really, in truth, they do.”

​The system of white supremacy harms all of us, ​including white people.


​Those of us who are white are harmed in very different ways by white supremacy than people of color are. It cuts us off from the powerful cultures and traditions we come from, teaching us instead to celebrate money and power.

If we’re going to heal our wounds, those of us who are white must participate in actively dismantling white supremacy and racism.
