Neighbors

Safe!

We’re being told that some of our neighbors–our immigrant neighbors, our Black neighbors, our LGBT neighbors, our neighbors who are different from us–are to blame for all our problems: rising food costs, stagnant wages, cuts to Medicare and Medicaid, rising housing costs.

Yet while blaming others and pitting us against one another, the billionaires and big business are raking in record profits.

And we’re seeing that here in Louisville: instead of funding education, community centers and safer, more affordable housing, our city leaders are thinking about spending our tax money–hundreds of millions of dollars–on a new jail.

We are being divided against one another, and are unable to come together for what we all need to keep our families and communities safe, well, and thriving.

What do you think about all this? We want to know. **

Join Neighbors Keep Neighbors Safe to build unity, so we can make sure all our neighbors are safe and that we can all care for our families!

Neighbors Keep Neighbors Safe is a project of Louisville Showing Up for Racial Justice. **To comment or for more information contact us at LSURJ Community Defense Network

Here is the form if you are signing up for coming canvass events.  This is what we are giving people at their doors.

Has someone from your community been arrested by ICE?

The National Immigration Project  has advice for what to do! Check that out here.
