Take Action

Join Us at Our Monthly Meetings

We have so much work to do reaching people in majority white communities about why racial justice will help free us, too. We focus on political education, leadership development, action and base-building.

All are welcome to learn more about getting involved in - and helping plan - LSURJ's
part in campaigns for action on issues like community defense, mass incarceration, stopping the building of a new jail, policing, the city budget, school board issues, and more. Come meet people in this interactive space for change-making.

Learn more and stay engaged at our monthly meetings, held on the second Wednesday of each month. We alternate locations and length of meetings depending on our topic. For information about this month's topic and location, and to RSVP, visit our Facebook and Instagram pages for event links.

Request ASL interpretation by emailing [email protected].

The beauty of anti-racism is that you don’t have to pretend to be free of racism to be an anti-racist. Anti-racism is the commitment to fight racism wherever you find it, including in yourself. And it’s the only way forward."   – Ijeoma Oluo
